Evaluation of resistance to Fusarium oxysporum in genotypes of lulo (Solanum quitoense Lam.)

Lulo (Solanum quitoense Lam.) is a fruit tree of Andean origin national economic importance in Colombia, which constitutes an important source employment for farmers and their families. Vascular root wilt caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum one most limiting diseases production this species, causing low yields considerable losses. As effective control alternative pathogen, identification genotypes with resistance that can be used breeding programs being considered. The objective work was to evaluate response 22 lulo artificial inoculation identify possible sources pathogen tolerance. F. inoculated on plants following method wounded roots through cutting.
